Sometimes you win, sometimes you..

Almost a year ago we’ve engaged to acquire CNC HOLDING BV; the European market leader in compost for the mushroom industry. We especially are enthusiastic about its position in the value chain, the 100% circular production and growing market for meat alternatives, of which mushrooms are playing an important role.

With rolled up sleeves, we were very much looking forward on working together with partners as the growers on our side, management and all stakeholders to sink our teeth in this great company. As ‘runners up’, we were unfortunately overbid in a very competitive process.

We’ve learned, grown and made great partners and even friends over the last year. As the ‘underdogs’ we were unsuccessful in acquiring CNC, but we have grown to really like the sector and its stakeholders. We’ll be back ;-)
